This type of support is provided over a 6-week period through a combination of onsite and offsite workshops and presentations.
It focuses on upskilling senior leadership and Boards on their governance and oversight obligations under the Aged Care Act and Aged Care Quality Standards.
This includes increasing providers awareness of their roles and responsibilities, regulatory requirements and how to strategically plan for future change. It also supports providers to embed systems and practices than enable them to effectively meet their obligations including through tailored mentoring and the use of templates and resources which are designed to respond to the unique opportunities and challenges of delivering aged care services in rural, remote and First Nations communities.
