Mechanisms for improved integration of biodiversity conservation in regional natural resource management planning within Australia

Abstract:

This literature review was prepared as part of a project to identify how best the Commonwealth might assist regions in integrating biodiversity conservation into catchment/regional planning in ways that lead to improved biodiversity conservation practice in the field. A particular purpose of the review is the identification of a set of criteria for evaluation of mechanisms to integrate biodiversity conservation into natural resource management (NRM) planning and into practice.
