Closing the Gap in the Northern Territory (including Northern Territory Emergency Response)

Abstract:

Closing the Gap is a commitment by all Australian governments to work towards a better future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It aims to close the gap of Indigenous disadvantage in areas such as health, housing, education and employment. As the department responsible for Indigenous affairs, FaHCSIA is the lead Australian Government agency on Closing the Gap. The Australian Government, through FaHCSIA, reaches out to Indigenous Australians through a network of offices across the country.
