A completed Audit Evidence Collection Tool (AECT) is one of the key documents NATSIFACP providers are required to submit to the Commission during the re registration process. This tool applies to aged care Categories 4, 5, and 6. Depending on their registration category providers may also need to complete additional Care Delivery Audit Evidence Collection Tool, including:
• the Care Delivery Audit Evidence Collection Tool for Categories 4 and 5,
• the Category 6 Care Delivery Audit Evidence Collection Tool, where applicable.
For NATSIFACP providers, completing the AECT is an important way to document safe, high quality, and culturally grounded care. It can help services identify what is working well, recognise gaps early and ensure care practices align with Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission requirements. By documenting evidence regularly, providers strengthen accountability, support continuous improvement, and build confidence among care recipients, families and communities. Quality audits are not only about compliance – they are also an opportunity to strengthen culturally safe care and recognise the dedication of teams delivering services in remote and First Nations communities.
