During a recent visit to Barkly Regional Council in the Northern Territory, the NATISFACP Support Hub team members learned of the great progress that has been made by the Council aged care team on its compliance journey, demonstrating commitment, discipline and genuine care for community wellbeing.
Over recent months, the aged care team has worked collaboratively to strengthen systems, complete training, and embed the new aged care reforms into everyday practice. Staff have embraced the rights based approach, improved documentation, and enhanced cultural safety across five remote service sites and 19 communities that the team supports every week. This renewed determination and momentum reflects a team that is dedicated to delivering quality, safe, consistent and empowering care for First Nations older people across the Barkly region.
