GRAMS TIS launched the Kick it 2 the Kurb program in 2025, focusing on supporting young people to improve their health and wellbeing. The program was designed as an eight-week initiative combining fitness training with education on the risks of smoking and vaping.
Students from two local schools participated each week, with a total of 80 students attending across the program. Before every fitness session, the TIS team delivered a short educational session highlighting the dangers of smoking and vaping, followed by an engaging and structured fitness session.
In 2026, the Barndi Yarraly TIS team will expand the program by opening the fitness and education sessions to adults who are wanting to quit smoking or vaping.
