From the Support Hub

As we enter the last few months of the year, we are both reflecting on the many amazing services we’ve had the privilege of visiting and supporting this year and prepping for more busy months ahead, ensuring we can organise first and second site visits at a time that suits you – whether that’s before the rainy season descends or in the new year.

When we’re not with you on site, our monthly webinar series is a great way to build knowledge and stay informed. As many of you know, in August the Support Hub held a webinar sharing strategies for tackling the Audit Evidence Collection Tool (AECT), supporting you to prepare for re-registration and audit readiness.

During the webinar, one of the attendees notified representatives from the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (Commission) that there were formatting issues that prevented copy and paste into the Audit Evidence Collection Tool. A Commission representative then tested the tool and subsequently met internally to resolve the issue and implement a fix. We’ll keep you updated on the outcome.

As the frontline workers in Aged Care, your experience and input matters, and this is a small example of the ways in which feedback and knowledge-sharing can build the best sector and regulatory processes possible.

This month, our webinar Blak Strength – Insights from First Nations NATSIFACP Regulation Support Hub team shared valuable insights into Cultural Safety and the Statement of Rights, along with exploring culturally grounded approaches to governance.
