Message from the Acting NBPU TIS National Program Manager, Kerindy Clarke

It has been a privilege to work with the Program Officers and the NBPU TIS team this past month in my role as Acting National Program Manager. The dedication shown by this team continues to highlight all that we’ve achieved.

This month, we welcome Tommy Zeaiter to the team as Program Officer for the Northern Territory. Tommy brings close to 10 years’ experience in Indigenous employment and outcomes, having worked across multiple organisations and states. You can read more about Tommy here.

A reminder to all team that your Activity Work Plans for the 2025–‘26 period (July 1 2025 – June 30 2026) are due to NBPU by 2 July 2025. If you need any support, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Important Dates

The NRPP Procurement closes this Friday 2 May at 5.30pm AEST. For more information, visit nrpp.com.au.

We’re also just over a month away from gathering on Larrakia Country for the 2025 National TIS Workshop. We look forward to connecting face-to-face, learning from each other and sharing space. If you haven’t yet registered please do so soon as registration is closing this Friday 2nd of May

We invite TIS Teams to showcase their impactful work as part of the Workshop. If you would like to take part in the competition, please submit your EOI form to Kelly Franklin at kelly.franklin@nintione.com.au before the end of this week.

As next month closes, we prepare for two important events, National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June) and World No Tobacco Day (31 May). Reconciliation Week is a powerful time for reflection and celebration of our culture, resilience and shared histories. It can also be a big and emotional week for mob, so please remember to look after yourselves and take breaks when you need them.

We know many of you are organising deadly activities for World No Tobacco Day. If you’d like one of our NBPU TIS Program Officers to attend or support your event, please reach out. We’re always proud to share in the great work you’re doing across communities.
