The meeting then votes on the motion.
For the motion at a Special General
Meeting to be carried (passed), there
has to be majority of votes in favor from
the members who are at the meeting.
In other words, no proxies are allowed.
Once you’ve had your vote, the meeting
is closed and there is no other
business.
It can only talk about the advertised
business of the meeting.
But you can have your Special General
Meeting and either your Annual
General Meeting or an Ordinary
Meeting on the same day.
You just have to close one meeting
before you start the next and you can’t
carry over the business from one
meeting to another.
