If you don’t get a quorum, you can’t

vote on the change

Once you have your quorum, you need

a

Mover

(someone to say they support

the change) and a

Seconder

(someone

who supports the mover) for the change

you want to make.

The

Mover

gives the arguments in

favour of the change.

The Chairperson of the meeting then

asks if anyone wants to speak against.

If someone speaks against, the

Chairperson then asks if anyone else

wants to speak for the change.

And so it goes until each side has

been heard.

Two Way Governance: Presentation 19

Everyone at the meeting who is a member of the organisation signs the

register when they arrive. The secretary knows how many members =

60% and can tell the chairperson when there is a quorum.
