The
AGM
is held once a year.
If you’re registered under the CATSI
Act, you have to hold it before 30
November.
The AGM is for the members to hear,
question and accept reports from the
Chairperson, the CEO, the Treasurer
and the Auditor on how the organisation
has done its job over the year.
The AGM is also where the members
elect Directors, as we have already
seen.
Some organisations elect half of the
Board (six Directors) at every Annual
General Meeting.
This means they can elect new
Directors who can be guided by
experienced Directors.
Some organisations just elect all the
Directors in one go.
