On Tuesday 28 October, the Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service TIS team was visited by NBPU to conduct training in the fundamentals of TIS and improve ways to strengthen their presence and impact in their community. The team ran through various team building exercises focused on self-reflection, Calls to Action, public speaking, strengthening their partnerships and building social media content.
The theme throughout the day revolved around using evidence-based approaches to influence positive change in their region while utilizing all the resources available to them from the TISRIC, the Yarning Group and the NBPU. The team showed excellent engagement and team work skills, creating a space to bounce ideas, provide feedback and truth-telling.
