Strengthening How We Measure Impact with VAHS

I recently had the pleasure of leading a hands-on workshop with the VAHS TIS teams, all about strengthening how we monitor, evaluate and report on our work. The goal was simple, to look at how we collect and use data to better understand our impact and keep improving what we do.

Throughout the session, everyone was really engaged, sharing examples from recent activities and reflecting on what’s been working well. We also talked about practical ways to make data collection easier and more meaningful, using tools like feedback forms, attendance tracking and surveys to capture insights that truly help guide future programs.

It was great to have Eileen Van Iersel join us too, offering her support and insights as teams reviewed their event reports and identified where they could strengthen their data processes.

By the end of the day, there was a real sense of shared learning and motivation. Everyone left with fresh ideas, a clearer understanding of reporting requirements and renewed confidence in using data to tell the TIS story and keep building on our success.
