Victorian Workshop Visit

The Koori Way team, made up of workers from across Victoria, came together for a two day Tackling Indigenous Smoking workshop hosted by the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service.

The workshop covered reviewing the action plan and any needed changes, checking progress on targets, and discussing the statewide campaign and plans for the next one. Reflection on the success of recent events, outlined upcoming activities across all regions and mapped out priorities and resource needs for the next 12 months.

It was a great opportunity to celebrate recent wins, plan their next steps and strengthen connections across the team.

Organisations represented at the workshop included:

  • Victorian Aboriginal Health Service
  • Dandenong & District Aborigines Co-operative Ltd
  • Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative
  • Lakes Entrance Aboriginal Health Association
  • Budja Budja Aboriginal Co-operative
  • Dhauwurd Wurrung Elderly & Community Health Service Inc
  • Winda-Mara Aboriginal Corporation
  • Mallee District Aboriginal Services – Mildura, Swan Hill and Kerang

A big thank you to Lionel for the invitation. It was great to see all the amazing work you and the team are doing!
