Abstract: The Strategic Policy and Research Unit of the Department of Business have created a series of jobs profiles for the Territory’s Major Remote Towns. The jobs profiles reports on the number and characteristics of jobs and job holders including: • filled jobs: o permanent / temporary o Indigenous status o public sector (Commonwealth, Territory, Local) / private sector o full-time / part-time o age group o gender o occupation classification o industry classification • vacant jobs • Remote Jobs and Communities Programme (RJCP) • Vocational Education and Training (VET) • businesses by sector (public / private) • Indigenous population projections. The 2014 jobs profiles are available in separate entries in this Remote Australia Online database.
