Abstract: This report identifies, evaluates and provides detailed information on rural women’s current participation in leadership programs and how much they attribute leadership programs to gaining their current leadership position. Because of this result, emphasis is given to identifying barriers and strategies beyond leadership programs and what initiatives would support more rural women gaining leadership positions. This report provides data and discussion of relevance to rural women, peak rural and agricultural organisations, policy makers, training providers and funding organisations.
