Queensland and NSW 2026 Wrap Up

What a busy year we have had.

Highlights that I would like to mention, especially the activities that teams are doing in their respective areas, are fantastic. The resilience shown, especially in those areas that were flooded and the activities still went ahead – Galambila.

Supporting teams with training on Monitoring and Evaluation – this has been invaluable to some teams because their Performance Reports have shifted a gear!

The ‘National NBPU TIS Workshop’ in Darwin, teams are still talking about how good it was.

Teams also hosting their own forums – was lucky enough to attend IUIH’s Deadly Choices Forum and it was great to hear the story of how ‘Deadly Choices’ started.

Torres Health finally has a full team of four, am looking forward to seeing what great activities they come up with.

Was very sad to see Danny from La Perouse go, however Jasmin has stepped into the role of Manager and is doing a great job.

Apunipima – what can I say, the music video’s that they pumped out this year were amazing. A perfect example of what can happen when you embrace your communities and work together.

Ricky, a long time TIS worker with Wellington has stepped into the Manager role, the team has been getting out and about and helping out their partners with activities, another great example of working together.

To those teams who supply us with their good news stories, thank you, teams love hearing what other teams have been up to.

Hope you all have a well earned break, a fantastic Chrissy and I will still be here supporting you all next year.
