NATSIFACP | Regulation Support Hub Update February

Site visits

It’s been a busy month at the Support Hub as we have kicked off the site visit phase of our support. This has included a visit to Vic Daly with the Ninti One SDAP team as well as booking in another 14 site visits covering 19 NATSIFACP sites!

Thank you to the service providers who have responded positively to our invitation to participate in site visits. We really appreciate your openness and willingness to engage.

We will continue to book site visits progressively for the remaining service providers – a gentle reminder that all 49 NATIFACP sites are entitled a a 3-day site visit at no cost to your service.

Site visits are a key component of the Support Hub approach and are designed to provide tailored, strength-based support aligned to your service’s readiness and priorities under the new Aged Care Act.

We will be in touch to work with each service provider to co-develop an agenda before the visit. If you haven’t been contacted yet, our apologies – there are significant travel and logistical arrangements to coordinate, particularly for remote locations, and we appreciate your patience.

Online change readiness yarns

We are continuing to schedule online change readiness yarn with service providers. If we haven’t yet connected with your service, you may have received correspondence this week inviting you to book a session. These yarns help us understand your current readiness and then tailor site visit support accordingly.

If you feel you do not require additional support at this stage, please let us know.

Resource development

Another key focus this month has been progressing resource development to support upcoming site visits. The Resource Development Team is building a practical toolkit designed to assist services in strengthening governance, meeting compliance requirements, and embedding culturally safe practice.

Online workshops

We held our online governance workshop on 3 February, with 59 participants joining from across the country. This strong attendance shows that governance is an important area of interest and need.  You can access the slides here. This is also an example of the one-on-one support we can provide to your organisation if needed.

Our next online workshop will focus on Portability, Support at Home (SaH) approvals and NATSIFACP – making sense of the overlap.

This practical webinar will explain what portability means, how Support at Home approvals interact with ongoing NATSIFACP care, and how to confidently communicate this with care recipients, families and staff.

Time: 11 March 2026, 2:00–3:30pm AEST

1:1 support through the Support Hub

Lastly, we are now seeing an uptake in service providers contacting the Support Hub – it’s great to seeA gentle reminder we can provide tailored support unique to your service so please continue to reach out and we can work with you to identify how we can assist and connect you with the relevant aged care advisor.
