Celebrating our Staff
We love to celebrate achievements of our team, particularly when it comes to further education.
We’re proud to share that Kerindy Clarke, our NBPU TIS National Workforce Development Advisor, recently graduated with a Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Trauma and Recovery from the University of Wollongong.
This achievement reflects Kerindy’s ongoing commitment to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and deepening her expertise in workforce development, wellbeing, and culturally responsive practice.
Congratulations, Kerindy, an incredible milestone that will continue to strengthen the work we do in TIS and beyond!
Tim Tuikaba, Project Support Officer, recently had the opportunity to represent Australia at the Festival of Football, competing against New Zealand on the Gold Coast.
In the week leading up to the game, the team followed a demanding schedule with two training sessions a day and film reviews of their performance. Tim was first selected for the junior team in 2019, but the pandemic meant he was unable to compete.
This time, pulling on the green and gold carried even greater meaning, as he proudly represented both his country and his mob in American Football.
This past month also saw NBPU TIS Program Officer (Qld and NSW) Sonette Johnson graduate from the Women in Leadership Australia, Leadership Course.
This three-month course provided practical tools that challenged participants’ thinking and introduced models for different situations.
Sonette especially valued learning about her own leadership style and how to work with others, and plans to apply these insights on her path towards management roles.
