Abstract: Stafford Strategy (Stafford) was commissioned by the Central Western Queensland Remote Area Planning and Development Board (RAPAD) to undertake the development of a tourism data model for the Central West Queensland (CWQ) region. The project was requested to support the diversification of CWQ’s economy through strengthening the tourism sector and building economic resilience in its communities. Scope The scope of the project included the following. ▪ Identify currently available datasets excluding the following which have already been identified. ▪ Identify data deficiencies and possible options to obtain data to overcome the deficiencies. ▪ Develop a scalable model which allows collection and analysis of data to address the regional data deficiencies. ▪ Deliver a Monitoring and Evaluation Plan detailing the project schedule of activities, mechanisms for monitoring progress and evaluation outcomes to RAPAD for endorsement.
