Over the past six months, Ninti Training has made strong progress in advancing training delivery, system improvements, and readiness for future compliance standards. These developments reflect Ninti’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, culturally responsive education and strengthening the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workforce.
We successfully completed the full transition from VETtrak to the eSkilled Student Management System (SMS) and launched a new Learning Management System (LMS). These platforms significantly enhance our ability to deliver accessible, compliant and engaging training across remote and regional contexts.
Ninti Training’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO) re-registration process was completed with a strong outcome. This result was underpinned by robust evidence collection and modernised systems, reinforcing our position as a trusted provider of accredited training.
In anticipation of the Revised Standards for RTOs coming into effect in 2025, we have already commenced implementation. This includes updated policies, refined procedures, evidence mapping, and focused staff training to ensure full alignment with the new regulatory framework.
Ninti Training has commenced face-to-face delivery of the HLT20121 Certificate II in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care on Groote Eylandt. This important initiative supports local Indigenous learners to take up roles in community health and strengthens the regional health workforce.
Following the successful delivery of the first cohort, Ninti Training is preparing for the second intake of the HLT30121 Certificate III in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care in partnership with NT Health. This program continues to build career pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health professionals across the Northern Territory.
Finally, I want to give thanks to the incredible work and support of Decklan Milne, who stepped up to support Ninti Training in the interim until we appointed a Program Manager.
