Directors have to:
• be fair, honest and act in good faith
(do the right thing).
• be able to keep the organisation’s
business private (confidentiality).
• be prepared for meetings and know
about the organisation’s work.
Directors have a responsibility to find
out how any action will affect the
organisation, especially if it means
using a lot of the organisation’s funding.
Directors have a legal right to look at
the organisation’s documents to make
sure the organisation is doing the right
thing and working to the Act and
Constitution.
