Two Way Governance: Presentation 13

Becoming a member.

This will be a little bit different in some

organisations. You need to check the

Constitution

first to make sure you fit

what it says about membership.

Write a letter applying for membership

or fill in a form.

The Directors have to decide if you can

be a member at the next Board

meeting.

The organisation needs to keep a

record as proof of your membership.

They put your full name, contact details

and the date you became a member

(the date of the Board meeting) in a

Register of Members

.

There should also be a register for

people who were members in the past.
