Tackling Indigenous Smoking calendar art competition launched
The National Best Practice Unit Tackling Indigenous Smoking, a Ninti-led consortium working on behalf of the Department of Health and Aged Care, has launched an art competition promoting smoke- and vape-free lifestyles. Open to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children aged 12 and under, the winner’s art will feature in the nationally-distributed Tackling Indigenous Smoking 2024 calendar. The winner will also win a $150 voucher for Art to Art Australia and a $150 voucher for Rebel Sport, as well as Tackling Indigenous Smoking calendars and merchandise.
Entrants will draw, paint or create a piece of art on the topic ‘Why life is better without smoking or vaping’.
The Tackling Indigenous Smoking calendar is produced annually and sent to TIS teams across the country. The calendar contains vaping and smoking information, key dates, QR codes to additional materials and a colourful, engaging design. Previous calendars are available to download or view here.
More details of the competition (including full terms and conditions) can be found on the website here. Be sure to share this competition with family and friends ahead of the deadline on Monday October 23!
