Abstract: Through this paper we hope to stress the importance and value of this kind of research and believe there are similarities between the data we have gathered on GPs and their partners and the Australian RHW. There are complexities but we suggest while there may be some barriers to applying this kind of research for the Australian Rural Health Workforce, they could be overcome.
