Abstract: The aim of the MHSRRA Program is to assist in improving the mental health outcomes of people living in rural and remote areas by providing greater access to mental health services. It is intended that this will be achieved through the engagement of allied and nursing mental health staff through appropriate non-government organisations in rural and remote Australia. The MHSRRA Program endeavours to build on other programs to improve rural and remote mental health services. It allows scope for organisations to develop mental health services that are adapted to meet the needs of the local community.
