Abstract: Haemophilus haemolyticus can be misidentified as nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHi) due to their phenotypic similarities in microbiological culture. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of misidentified NTHi in respiratory specimens from children living in northern Australia.
