Abstract: Focusing on the four 'New World' countries - Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States - this book explores key themes and issues in indigenous mobility. In each of these countries, indigenous peoples share a common historical experience of population decline as a consequence of colonisation by non-indigenes, followed by a period of recuperation, and more recently, rapid growth under regimes of welfare colonialism.
