Abstract: This paper provides a conceptual framework for understanding why and how indigenous cultures require culturally specific management practices in social housing, using Australian Aboriginals to illustrate the ideas. The framework is adapted from the field of intercultural management and is used to reveal how social housing provision and management for Australia’s indigenous population has largely failed to provide culturally appropriate solutions.
