Four foundational activities would re-vitalise outback Australia, the role of Indigenous peoples within it, and the business opportunities that would flow from a proactive investment approach: - A focus on enabling economic livelihoods across the region. - Declaration of an agreed outback settlement plan that guarantees security, safety and services in the national interest, providing an investment strategy for the next 50 years. - New approaches to re-invigorating capital investment in outback Australia. - Effective governance of the outback as a common region or zone rather than a collection of state and territory backyards reflecting national neglect.
