Abstract: This evaluation of the Partnerships for Success program in Port Augusta was initiated through an agreement between the Desert Knowledge Cooperative Research Centre and the Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation, and funded by the Desert Knowledge Cooperative Research Centre. Researchers associated with the David Unaipon College of Indigenous Education and Research at the University of South Australia conducted the research between January and December 2009. Ethics clearance was obtained from the Human Research Ethics committee at the University of South Australia. The broad aim of this study was to identify the effectiveness of the Partnerships for Success program (‘the program’) in increasing student educational achievement, secondary school graduation, and transition into further education and employment.
