Abstract: Research is often viewed with suspicion by Indigenous peoples, as it is implicated in the process of colonisation. Qualitative research undertaken by Indigenous people within an Indigenous framework has an enormous role to play in challenging the traditions of quantitative research by de-colonising research and all its implied values and assumptions.
