Abstract: This is book two in this Workplace English Language and Literacy (WELL) funded series, and provides sample lessons and activities at levels one, two and three of the National Reporting System (NRS). Resource lists for both numeracy and literacy materials are included as are general principles for delivering lessons. The sample lessons use games, puzzles, and case studies with real-life situations. Some of the literacy topics include matching tasks with occupational health and safety as a theme or identifying construction tools and cloze exercises on house design. Numeracy topics look at metrics and measurement, adapting traditional stories to calculate time and using costs of goods to work out addition and subtraction. This book is part of a suite of publications. The publications in the suite are indexed at TD/WELL 84.06 to TD/WELL 84.09.
