Abstract: This profile is intended to be used as an evidence base to inform decision making relating to workforce development and enterprise opportunity in this town. This is the second production and publication of the jobs profiles, the first was provided in 2011 to support the implementation of the National Partnership Agreement on Remote Service Delivery. Angurugu is located on Groote Eylandt approximately 640 kilometres east-south-east of Darwin and a half hour flight south of Gove. The Northern Territory Government is working with Territorians, the Australian Government, regional councils, land councils, private businesses, Aboriginal organisations, not-for-profit organisations and industry groups to improve the standard of living in remote Territory communities. This publication provides a snapshot of jobs and the characteristics of job holders in Angurugu as at June-July 2014.
