Abstract: The 2012 Indigenous Expenditure Report is the second in a series, prepared by the Steering Committee for the Review of Government Service Provision under the auspice of the Council of Australian Governments (COAG). It provides estimates of expenditure on services provided to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people by the Australian Government, and State and Territory governments. Estimates are provided for each level of government, Australia as a whole, and by state and territory geographical basis, for 2008-09 and 2010-11. These estimates provide one element of the evidence base that policy makers need to gain a clearer picture of the efficiency of government services provided to Indigenous Australians.
