Abstract: Feral camels have potential commercial uses. A camel industry has been emerging in Australia over the last 20 years, but it is still very small. This chapter reviews the potential for the commercial utilisation of feral camels in Australia and discusses the implications for feral camel management arising as a consequence. Recommendations are made that aim to encourage the development of a strategic management approach to feral camel control within an emerging camel industry.
