Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to identify how the aged care services currently provided by Dharriwaa Elders Group (DEG) in Walgett may be affected by proposed changes to the system for funding and regulating home and community care services for older Australians. The paper may also assist other Indigenous and locally-based service providers to understand and respond to the proposed changes.
