Abstract: This literature review contributes to Phase I of the collaborative project ‘Investigating blue carbon opportunities in the NT’ (CDU, UQ & NAILSMA), which is co-funded by the INPEX operated Ichthys LNG. The objective of this review is to examine the applicability of the recently developed emissions offset methodology (Tidal Restoration of Blue Carbon Ecosystems Method, Australian Government, 2022), and consider additional methods that relate to coastal and freshwater wetland restoration and associated emissions.
