Ninti Training Limited was formally recognised by the Australian Government’s National Training Register in June 2021. The Alice Springs-based RTO was previously known as Central Australian Remote Health Development Services Ltd (CARHDS). CARHDS formed in 2001 was initially responsible for much of the primary health care training, governance and cross-cultural training required by Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs).
Ninti Training provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice (ATSIHP) upskilling in Central Australia, as well as training in Foundation Skills of Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy, Primary Health Care and Aged Care. Courses such as Bush First Aid have proven particularly popular.
