Dr Kevin Williams is the CEO of the Cooperative Research Centre for Remote Economic Participation, on secondment from the University of South Australia. Prior to this, Kevin was the inaugural Director of the Northern Territory Centre for Renewable Energy and the Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Territory Natural Resource Management Board. He founded the Plant and Pathogen Molecular Genetics group at the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI), led the SARDI Biofuels research group, and established the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy Algae and Biofuels Facility in Adelaide. Kevin holds a Bachelor Degree in Horticulture, a Masters in Biotechnology and a PhD in Plant Molecular Genetics. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
